Water Treatment
WEC Projects is an experienced provider of turnkey water treatment solutions. These solutions range from large and complex municipal water treatment plants to smaller cost-effective treatment systems that are packaged and containerised for villages and mining applications. We are able to accommodate small- and large-scale plants of various capacities. Our packaged water treatment solutions are robust, well-engineered and of high quality. They can also be customised to meet our clients’ specific needs.
Sewage Treatment
WEC Projects has designed, installed and commissioned hundreds of packaged sewage treatment plants in Africa over the last decade. Additionally, we are experienced in contracting on large bulk municipal sewage treatment facilities. With our focus firmly on the needs of our customers, our robust and high-quality packaged sewage treatment plants can be customised for specific applications. They have also been designed for easy transportation to any destination in Africa.
Sludge Beneficiation
WEC Projects offers package and turnkey solutions by integrating world class OEM equipment. Our Sludge division has also secured exclusive African rights to Struvex technology. Struvex is a unique and patented process for the extraction of struvite from digester sludge to create valuable resources from waste streams. Every treatment plant has the potential to act as a factory that turns a cost centre into a profit centre.

Renewable Energy
WEC Projects provides complete turnkey solutions for your biogas-to-energy project. Large municipal wastewater treatment works that process more than 10 ML per day typically have anaerobic digesters to reduce the total organic load on the plant and to stabilise the sludge before disposal. WEC Projects is able to design, construct and operate biogas to combined heat and power plants for or on behalf of any municipal entity. Our scope includes digester gas analysis and the supply of complete digester gas conditioning systems for end-use of the gas.
Operations and Maintenance (WEC Assist)
WEC Projects understands that in certain instances there is a lack of resources and/or expertise to properly operate and maintain packaged water and wastewater treatment works. Therefore we decided to expand our business in order to deliver a complete and holistic solution for our clients.
We have done this by not only supplying our clients with the physical treatment plant, but also by providing the client with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services which are customised for their specific needs, based on the treatment solution provided and the extent of their available operational and maintenance resources. This way we provide the client with peace of mind that the plant will be operated properly and will perform according to its design. Our O&M service is not limited to the operations of WEC Projects installations. All water treatment plants and domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants, from small community plants to municipal works, are eligible for our service.
